In a boxing match at Albert Hall between Johnny Brown, junior and Elky Clark, featherweight champion of Britain, was one of the pluckiest witnessed for a long time. Brown fought gamely until the last few seconds of the twentieth round, when he was knocked out. It was apparent five rounds earlier that ho could not win, and spectators shouted to the seconds to throw in the towel.
