The annual meeting of the Hastings Public School Sports Association wb< held in the Central School on Friday. Jn the absence of Air Chaplin, the chair was taken by Air Banks. Mr Banks was elected president for the enusing year, and Air Smart was re-appointed secretary. It was decided that tho first round of the football competition be commenced on Wednesday, 13th inst.. play to commence at 3.30 p.m. Six or seven schools will take part in the competition, and there will be a senior an f a junior grade. As six grounds will be required, it was decided to ask the Hastings Sub-Union to assist in the matter of grounds. The Referees* Association is to be asked to provide referees. Players must bo not heavier than Bst Tibs, and a list certified by the headmaster ot each school taking part must bo forwarded to the secretary before tho date of tho first match.
