(Own Correspondent). The monthly meeting of the Town Board was held on Tuesday night, ; there being present:—Messrs Clarke <chairman), Bruce, Barrie and Mcßae. Leave of absence was granted to Mr Minto- The clerk reported that the following credit balances were in hand . General account £l5B 15s, No. 1 lions-i ing £64 Bs, No. 2 housing £344 4s. The ! pay sheet to the amount of £2B 15s 6d was passed for payment. A commum-1 cation was received from the Govern- | hnent notifying that Armistice Day Was fixed for November 11th and the form of ceremony to be observed on that doy. It was decided that the church and school bells be rung at 11 , tt.m. on that day as a reminder to the ; general public. In my notes of the social tendered i to the Rev. and Mrs Davidson I omitted to mention the presentation of a I cheque for a large sum which accompanied the presentation made by Mr G. C. Williams.
