LATE SPORTING
RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. The weather was fine for training at Riccarton this morning. Fast work was done on number six grass. Tarleton did the last of seven furlongs in 1.20. Bonena left six lengths behind in 1.18 2-5. Dazzling Light went halt u mile in 51secs. Deucalion beat Kerry Star over six furlongs in 1.19. Kilceit did a similar distance in 1.19. Little River went over seven furlongs, taking 1.32 2-5. Bonetter. with Sir W ai as a mate, went easily over a mile in 1.46 1-5. Tukia went half a mile, the last three furlongs taking 37 2-5 secs. Bumptious beat Agitato over six furlongs in 1.18 4-5. Enthuiasm, on the plough, finished well over seven furlongs, done in 1.32 2-5. Vindictive and Lake Uru left six furlongs behind in 1.18 2-5. Ma Boughal did the same distance alone- Sun Up covered six furlongs in 1.19 2-5, after a slow start. Mantua went half a mile in 50 4-ssecs. A large number of other horses went out, but their tasks were mostly of easy character. This morning’s arrivals from north were:—Waetea, Stream, La Reve, Im. perial Spark and Bitters. The southern arrivals last night include RoseGay, Arpent, Full Swing, Monoxide, un Up, Happy Warrior, Penurj Rose, Solferite, The Harp, Mountain Lion and Frisco Mail.
