On account of the 1 arliamentary session concluding to-morrow His Excellency was obliged to return to Wellington at seven this evening, apd therefor© was unable to participate in arrangements which had been made for a civic farewell to-mor-row. Th© Mayor, Mr. F. J. Nathan, and councillors farewelled th© Gover-nor-General prior to hite departure by train and th© former presented an address.
