Lucy Jellico©, ha<l a busy day iq farewdling Palmer’ stop North and the Manawatu di»tri< t to-dt(k', th© including a visit to Mock House, where the sons of deceased British naval men ar© training as farmers laying the foundation stoner of the Palmerston North war memorial and th© official opening of the Royal Show. Hig Excellency was presented with an address from th© Manawatu A and 1 Association by th© president. Air. J. A. Nash, ALP. and with a life membership badge of th© Royal Agricultural Society by Air. W Perry of Masterton president. On account of the 1 arliamentary session concluding to-morrow His Excellency was obliged to return to Wellington at seven this evening, apd therefor© was unable to participate in arrangements which had been made for a civic farewell to-mor-row. Th© Mayor, Mr. F. J. Nathan, and councillors farewelled th© Gover-nor-General prior to hite departure by train and th© former presented an address.
