The Manawatu Boxing Association has booked tho Opera House for Labour Day, Monday, October ' 27th. for the return tournament with representatives of tho Napier Boxing Association. Mr J. W. Norrie, acting manager of the South British Insurance Co., Wellington, is at present on a, business visit to Palmerston North (say.i the Maiiawaatu “Times.”) Mr Norrie wa’.> manager at Napier, whore ho wan also chairman of the Hawke’s Buy Rugby Union, and is relieving Mr S. S. Dean, during the latter’s absence the United Kingdom.
