GOLF BALL.
PARKVALE CLUB’S SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. A ball organised by the ladies of the L’arkvale Golf Club, in aid of the club . funds, was held in the Hastings > Assembly Hall lust evening. It was, hi every way, a pronounce u success, and the funds of the club will benefit to a substantial extent. About 600 people were present, and to the excellent music of the Assembly Band, dancing, under the direction of Alessrs H. Poppelweli and C. Crooks, Al.’s C. was continued untii 2.30 a.m. The 1 supper arrangements ana the entire organisation of the ball in general were most creditable to the large and energetic committee of ladies, headed . by Airs I. Marshall. In the course of the evening the Mayor of Hastings, Mr G, A. Aladdison, who is president of the Parkvale Golf Club, presented a gold-mounted, engraved fountain pen to Air F. H. Walker, in recognition of his services as coach and adj viser to the club.
