GISBORNE v. NAPIER Gisborne, Aug. 1. A tournament between Napier and Gisborne golf players was held to-day in fine weather, though th© conditions on the links in the early morning were not very pleasant owing to heavy rain. Before midday, however, the sun was shining brightly and continued all the afternoon. Poverty Bay won the fourball match by 6J games to one and ahalf 'and the two-ball match ended all square. Following are the details ofj the two-ball match: —Kapi Taroha beat Dodgslmn, Troutbeck lost to Q. AV. AVillock. l’rair beat N. 11. Bull. Smith lost to Barns-Graham, Logan boat Keiha, F. A r . Kettle bent Clark, Dalgleish lost to Balfour, Smith lost to R. AVillogjj, Dines beat Kelly, N. Kettle heat Hutchinson, Deighton all squajr with Bullard, Grant lost to AVclls, McClurg lost to J. H. Bull. Hindmarsh Lear Gover. Kerr beat Adair, La wry lost to Clay, Steele lost to Stock.
