AUSTRALIA ERECTING BEAM STATIONS. (Received 2, 11.55 a.m.) London, Aug. 1. In reference to tho agreement with Marconis. Mr. Hartshorn said that he understood arrangements - now being made with Australia affd South Africa for the erection of beam stations as already arranged with Canada. Replying to critics, Mir. Hartshorn contended that if at the end of twelve months they took over the service, which complied with all th© stipulated guarantees, it would be a substantial and profitable business.
