CONCERT AND REVUE.

HASTINGS CITIZENS’ BAND FUND. The concert and revue in aid of the Hastings Citizens’ Band at the Hast' ings Municipal Theatre last evening- was not attended by as large an audience as the cause and the quality of the performance warranted. However, those oi the public who did attend were well re- i warded. The concert which const it ut- | ed the first part of the programme was most enjoyable. A song. “Lolita," by Mr C. Ferbraeho was well received. Miss Tyerman played a violin solo, “Meditation.’’ in a manner which earned her an insistent encore. Miss Stollery was encored for her recitation. Actress’’ and gave a musical monologue, “Wouldn’t You Like to know.’’ On being recalled a second time she recited “ Lining the Route for Princess Mary.’’ A ’cello solo, “Andante’’ by Miss J. Scott and a song by Airs Barton Hobbs were both encored. The ' accompanistes were Mrs M. Wood and ' Miss J. Scott. The second portion of the programme 1 consisted of a burlesque revue produe- ' ed by Mr Harold Davies, with musical : numbers arranged by Air H. C. A. Fox, which kept the audience in a constant state <>f rollicking merriment. ‘ A number <d‘ the latest songs were 1 introduced and the humour, while ver> J broad, did not fail to achieve its objects.
