ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
CANADIAN YJSIT DROPPED.
Wellington, Jan. 31
Nearly a full meeting of the council of the New Zealand Football Association to-night unanimously decided not io participate in the tour of the Canadian team. All present strongly denounced the action of the Australian Association in going behind the backs of the New Zealand council and completing arrangements with Canada without reference to the Dominion as the- negotiations were first opened in New Zealand. It was decided to cable to China lor a team to arrive in the Dominion at the beginning of June, and also to write to the Canadian authorities asking for an explanation and to the English Football Association getting a definite position regarding the English tour.
