FAILURE TO KEEP BOOKS.
BANKRUPT ACCOUNTANT IMPRISONED. Hamilton, Oct. 13. _ At the Police Court John Cheverton Kersey, a bankrupt accountant, formerly of Cambridge and Te Awamutu, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment for failing to keep proper books. The Magistrate said it was not the case of an ignorant man. Bankrupt was an experienced accountant, who must have known the necessity of keeping proper books.
