COAL REGULATIONS.
CHRISTCHURCH DEALERS FINED. (Special to “Tribune”). f Christohuroh, Aug. 8. The first prosecutions under the regulations controlling the sale of coal were heard in Christchurch to-day. ■when two dealers, charged with failing to sell coal hy the weight and not attaching labels, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court. The prosecution did not press for a penalty, merely wishing to bring before merchants the need of complying with the regulations. Convictions were entered, but no fines were imposed.
