INQUEST.
AN OLD PENSIONER’S DEATH
An inquest was held in Hastings this morning concerning the death or William Peacock, aged 74, an old age pensioner, who died suddenly in his whare yesterday morning under circumstances already published. Mr. It. W Dyer S.M.. presided as coroner. Arthur Robins, a neighbour of deceased, deposed that deceased was a native of Yorkshire. He had been in the Napier Hospital suffering from stoppage of the bowls some time ago. Robert Nairn, medical practioner, deposed that he had made a postmortem examination of the body and he found that the heart was diseased and that a clot had formed in it, which had caused death. The other organs of tho body were healthy. The coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical testimony.
