MASTERTON SUPREME COURT.
CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED MURDER. Masterton, March 16. The charge of attempted murder against Pakira Haeata was continued at the Supreme Court to-day, when evidence of the shooting was given by Crown witnesses on the lines of the lower court evidence. No evidence was called for tlie defence, and counsel addressed the jury. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty on the charge of attempted murder and guilty of having don© actual boefily harm to Kenrick. Prisoner was remanded for sentence.
