WESTLAND EXHIBITION.
THE OFFICIAL TITLE. Hokitika, March 16. At a meeting of the executive council yesterday the title of the exhibition to open on December 15. to celebrate the completion of Arthur’s Pass tunnel and celebrate the diamond jubilee of th© province of Westland, was fixed as “The British and Intercolonial Exhibition.” Mr. D. J. Evans, county, clerk, was appointed general secretary, and Mr. A. A. Andrews, town clerk, treasurer. The guarantee list, which is now being completed, is expected considerably to exceed the sum originally asked for. Various matters affecting the preliminary arrangements were determined.
