WELLINGTON-AUCKLAND RECORD.

Auckland, March 14. A new motoring record from Wellington to Auckland was established by G. L. Campbell and L. F. Beaford in a Durant four, covering the journey in 15 hours 26 minutes, 41 minutes better than the previous record, put up by W. S. Miller. For the first 300 miles the roads were good, but the Taumatamaire hill was bad. Rain was experienced all the way. Wellington was left at 3 a.m. and Wanganui was reached at 8 a.m.. Hawera 9.25, Mokau 11.30, Te Kuiti .25 p.m., Hamilton 3.45, Auckland 6.26.
