THE RAINFALL.
28.65 INCHES FOR 1922. Mr. A. H. Noble-Campbell, of Maraekakaho Station, has supplied us with the following figures on the rainfall in Hawke’s Bay for the year 1922:— Total rainfall for the yqar, 28.65 in. Number of days with rain for the year, 164 days. Wettest month—January (6.80) in 13 days. Driest month—April (.19 in 6 days). Heaviest rainfall in one day, 11th January. 1.93. Messrs Thos. Horton Limited’s observations for the month of December, 1922, were:— Coldest day, 2nd, 66 degrees. Warmest day, 14th, 93 deg. Coldest night, 5, 33 deg. Warmest night, 28lh, 62 deg. Mean temperature for month. 64.17 degrees. Number of frosts 1. Indication only. Rainfall 3. itins for 12 days. Rainfall, December, 1921, 199 ins for 10 days.
