STRAY CATTLE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —'Can you tell me if the H.B. County Ranger is paid a fixed salary or by results of the cattle impounded? We have been pestered by the stray cattle nuisance for a long time. Now I notice the brutes destroying my neighbours’ fences. We should like the ranger to attend to his duties a bit better. —I am, etc. PRO BONO PUBLICO. Havelock N., 5/1/22.
