WEDDING.

SUTCLIFFE—TAYLOR. A very pretty wedding of considerable local interest was solemnised on Ayednesday afternoon at the Hastings Methodist Church, the Rev. Angus McBean performing the ceremony. The contracting parties were Miss Louie laylor, youngest daughter of Mr. W. laylor, Riverslea road. Hastings, and *1- Sutcliffe, eldest son of Mr. A. E. Sutcliffe, of Lancaster, England. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was charmingly attired in white crepe-de-chine trimmed wuth radium lace and pearls. She wore the customary veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of freezias and maiden-hair fern. The veil, which was greatlv admired, was a gift from Miss Pearl Young, while the bouquets wore presented by Mrs. F. Symonds, who also supervised the church decorations, assisted by members of the choir. The two bridesmaids were Miss H. Collison and Miss R. Heighway, both looking very pretty and dainty in pale nink crepe-de-chine oombroidered in beads and shadow lace. Miss Collison wearing a leghorn hat trimmed with lace and floral trail and Miss Heighway’s being of white organdi and berries. Their bououets were double pink blossom and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Taylor, brother of the bride, as best man, and Mr. H. A. Tunnicliffe, missionary from New’ Britain, as groomsman. The service was fullv choral and Mrs. A. Christie presided at the organ. After the ceremony about one hundred guests were hospitably entertained by the parents of the bride at the Olympia Cabaret, Mrs. Taylor receiving the guests attired in navy blue tailored costume and naw blue crepe-de-chine hat, with posv of lemon primroses and maiden-hair f°rn. The bridegroom’s presents to the bridesmaids were handsome gold brooches sot in aquamarine and pearls and the other amvthists. The presents were both numerous and costly, including cheques and a Doulton and salad bowl from members of the choir, with which the bride and bridegroom had been associated for a nnwher of rears. The happy couple for south, amidst showers of confetti and carrying with them the good wishes of their many friends, the bride wearing a navy blue tailored costume with white fox fur and tricorn shaped hat with oyster grev crown and vienx rose kilted ribbon trim, finished with kosy to tone.
