The residents of Taradale and surrounding districts are reminded that Beard. Bullen and Co. will bold their first regular market sale at th© Taradale saleyards on Thursday this tveex at 1.30 p.m.. when a good yarding of dairy stock and a varied assortment or farm sundries and poultry will be sold. The sole agent in Hastings for “Holeproof” hosiery are Messrs. Baird’s, leading drapers and mercers. These hose are packed in yellow boxes, and this genuine brand has 15 years’ reputation. Refuse substitutes and look for the yellow box and satisfaction. One pair of genuine “Holeproof’’ hose will outwear two pairs of other makes. R. F. Sorenson has a special advt. in this week .the draw cards being bicycles and sewing machines. Buyers can get almost any make. The sewing machines are supported by the. vendors’ guarantee. About 12 bicycles are in the mart, and in most cases each machine has been overhauled and new part spudded where necessary. Vendors please note we want churns, hand •ewing machines and garden tools.
