FRENCH 1922 VINTAGE.
High QUALITY AND PLENTIFUL. (Received 25, 8.5 a.m.) Pans, Sept. 23. The estimate of French vintage anticipations tor 1922 place the yield at 62,000,000 hectolitres, compared with 45,000,000 in 1913. The wine will be generous and rich in alcohol; prices, however, are showing violent fluctuations, as many dealers had been anticipating a fall in price of 50 per cent., owing to abundance of cheap table wine. The quality of the 1922 vintage, however, is &o good that it is hoped it will be possible to maintain prices.— (A. and N.Z.)
