SYDNEY “HERALD” GETS THE VERDICT. Sydney, Sept. 22. In the claim of Alderman Bramston against the “Herald” the jury returned a majority verdict in favour of the defendant newspaper. A stay of proceedings was granted. [Aiderman Bramston claimed £lO.000 damages from the “Herald” newspaper for alleged libel, in connection with the allegations of corruption in connection with a wood-block contract.]
