The quarterly summoned meeting of the Loyal Hastings Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M. was held on Friday evening, N. Bro. F. D. Hodges presiding. A letter of recommendation was handed in by Bro. C. H. Miller, Loyal Britannia Lodge, for membership was duly initiated. On the motion of T.P.N.G. Bro. P. S George it was decided to open the lodge meetings at 7.30 p.m. throughout the year. The following were appointed a committee to make arrangements for the children's Christmas tree - P.G.’s Bros W. H. Walker and A. R. Simpson; Bros. P. S. George, F. D. Hodges and J. Henry. Bro R. E. Townsend was appointed pianist, and P.IVG.M. Bro. T. C. Keith aqd A. R. Simpson a sub-com-mittee to report r e improvements to the hall. Arrangements were made for the euchre tournament against the Druids on 26th inst.. and the secretary, I D.G.M. Bro. L. F. Pegler, was congratulated on his recent promotion.
