The practice of sending horses lefthanded on off mornings is becoming more popular with trainers every year at least at Randwick, so much so that a special track is set aside for this way of going. It would not do for horses to be allowed to work both ways on the same track at once, as accidents might occur. Trainers send their horses lefthanded occasionally to ease the tension caused by continually racing and galloping right-handed, and just now. of course, some are being familiarised with that way of raomg, because the trip to Melbourne is contemplated. Among the horses which went lefthanded this morning at Randwick were:—Beauford, Vlolonoello, Wirraway, Mardiant, Mountaineer, David, Fleuriste. Rostrum. Wyndham, Speciality, and Kel Owi.
