BROWNE.—In loving memory of Corporal S. V. A. (Vigor Vin) Browne, Killed in action in France, April sth, 1918; aged 22 years. In visions of the day, and night, I dream of thee, I feel thy presence near, thy spirit, come? to me. I clasp thy loving hand. I see thy dear loved face, I know that thou art near, thy spirit comes through space. And though in this life parted, we meet on earth no more, In death we’re not divided, we’ll meet when this life’s o’er. And we shall know no sorrow, no parting tears or pain, For in regions fairer, dear son, we’ll meet again. And in perfect unity my spirit dwells with thine, For love it is immortal, true love it is divine.
Who can tell a mother’s love! There are none, but God alone See the anguish of her heart, knows how hard it is to part. . None but He can soothe her grief, none but He can give relief, None but He can calm her fear, none but He can dry her tears. —Vin’s Mother.
