NEAL AND CLOSE CUP.

FINAL IN B. GRADE.

WIN FOR HAWKE'S BAY

On Saturday the final lor the Neal and Close Cup, B Grade, was played at Waipukurau between the Hawke's Bay and Waipukurau Clubs. The visitors were entertained at dinner by the home club.

The winners were presented with the cup at the finish of the match, and Mr. H. H. Richards, on behalf of the Hawke’s Bay team, thanked the Waipukurau Club for their cordial reception, and he hoped that next year the Hawke’s Bay Club would be able to return the hospitality. Following are results, Hawke’s Bay players being mentioned first:—

An interprovincial lawn tennis match, Canterbury v. Wellington, was played on Saturday. The courts were heavy at tiie opening. The lafns improved with every minute of sunshine, out nevertheless were very dead. The teams were:—
