CHILDREN’S PAIR. As advertised in this issue, a Children’s Fair will bo hold in the Foresters’ Hall, on Saturday, October 29, from 9 a.in. till .1 p.m. The object is to raise funds for providing sports’ material for boys ami girls of the local Public School. The pupils themselves have undertaken to provide tho necessary wares, ami they also will do the actual selling at th fair. Although the scheme has only just been publicly announced, offers are already coming in of vegetables, tomato, cabbage ami onion plants, flower seedlings, jams and preserves, cakes, sweets, eggs, butter, fruit, etc., and the children, who will bo supervised by their teachers, are leaving no stone unturned to make their fair a huge success.
