THE UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM. NON-CO-OPERATION REGRETTED. London. October 10. Mr. Lloyd George, writing to the Labourites’ committee, who are to feet him to-morrow, says he deeply regrets Labour’s intention not to cooperate with the financiers and employers in solving unemployment, adding that their attitude is not helpful in a crisis affecting all classes, and which cannot be solved without the effective partnership of all.—(A. and I N.Z.)' WITHDRAWAL OF WAR BONUSES. London. October 10. Men and masters in the shipbuilding trade held a conference at Edinburgh. The representatives of the mon agreed, to submit to ballot the following offer regarding the withdrawal of war bonuses:—l9 per cent, as a first reduction, one-third of which will operate from November 1. another third on December 1, and the rest in the New Year.—(A. and N.Z.)
