STATE DEPARTMENTS.
PROJECTED REORGANISATION. It is anticipated that the next few weeks will see some changes in the Government departments, particularly iu the postal department. It is not expected that there wi’l be any dispensing with present officers but a number of men who have completed their 40 ybars’ service will retire. It has been rumoured that a ten per cent, reduction in wages would be made hut so far this sugge^ l n<>o assumed any material form. A' number of branches will be reorganised and re-drafted.
