TO THE WORKHOUSE.
MARCH OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN. (Received 25. <8.55 a.m.) London, July 23. There was a remarkable procession at Wandsworth, six hundred men women. children, and infants in arms and perambulators marching to the workhouse demanding admission, which was refused, with tho exception of four women and a number of children whose husbands and fathers had been previously admitted. The police, dispersed the others. An official stated that the workhouse was 900, but this had already been exceeded.— (Reuter.)
