THE WELLINGTON AUCTIONS. BRADFORD DOING MOST OF BUSINESS. SATISFACTORY CLEARANCE. Wellington, May 26. The first wool salest in the Dominion since producers’ decision to postpone all selling is now proceeding in the Town Hall. Buyers represented all markets. Bradford is doing most of the business. France is also active. America is not keenly interested. Growers’ ideas of value is more in line with parity of last London The result was generally a satisfactory clearance of catalogues. Competition for short fine wools was keen. One Waharapa clip of fine Romneys realised 6}d. For some JOclson wools 9}d to 9Jd was secured; halfbreds were up to 9sd.
