ENGLAND'S MILLIONS.
NEW START IN LIFE. NEED FOR EMIGRATION. London, May 25. The “Morning Post,” discussing the Imperial Cabinet, hopes Mr Churchill will tackle emigration within the Empire upon the proved fact that Britain is heavily over-populated. If England is ever again to prosper and the perpetual burden of anxiety in making a livelihood be removed from the working and middle classes, emigration is necessary. We are looking to the Dominions for help, but no man should be invited to emigrate unless a job awaits him. The scheme ought to be based on a great scale in order that millions, not hundreds, may obtain a new start. There must be a strict selection of men and women fitted for life on the land, for the Dominions are suffering, like us, from overcrowded towns.—(A. and n.!z.) *
