WOOL GRADES.
(To the Editor.) • A ears ago I was a sheepfarmer in Otago. In those days the agents enlightened us through the Press as to the trend of the London wool market by quoting prices of Merino. Lincoln, Romney, Leicester. Crossbred, etc. Now they quote numbers. Would you kindly say what these numbers signify and oblige. Please also eav when the next local wool sale will be held and if you will publish results. • Yours, etc., RETIRED FARMER. [The lowest grade wool coarse-cross-bred is represented by 38’s. Romney Lincoln crossbred are 40’s, and the finest Alerino are 60's. The next Napier wool sal© will be held on May 31st, and will oe fully reported in the “Tribune.”—-Eci. H.B.T.]
