CRUSADER'S QUEEN.
BERENG ARIA’S TOMB MOVED. Paris, March 1. In order to provide space for a. memorial for priests of the diocese who fell in the great war, the tomb of Queen Bcrengaria, consort of Richard Coeur de Lion, has been moved in the Cathedral at Le Maus, where it had remained undisturbed for nearly 700 years. The reinterment ceremonies were imposing. The organist played the British National Anthem. The tomb was heaped with violets gathered at Queen Bcrengaria’s Epau estate, bound with tri-colour ribbons, with an inscription commemorating both the -great crusader’s queen and France’s victims in the holy crusade of 1914-18.—(A. and N.Z.)
