BRITISH SEAMEN’S FUND.
SHEEPOWNERS’ ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF DEBT. Wallington, July 22. A meeting of trustees of the NewZealand Sheepowners’ Acknowledgment of Debt to British Fund was held to-day, at which were present Hons. W. D. S. MacDonald and D. H. Guthrie, Sir Walter Buchanan and Mr. E. Newman, M.P. It was decided to call a meeting of all signatories to the fund with q view- to appointing a permanent committee of management. Full information is being obtained regarding the amount required for the relief of dependents of British seamen who have lost- their lives or who have been wounded in defence of the Empire, and this information will be placed before the meeting.
