A "GIVE-AWAY.”
PREMIER BETS ON BILL. Mr. AV. S. Glenn, who played in tho scrum for the original “All Blacks,” who fought a good fight in the Great ■ War, and who not? sits in the House as member for Rangitikei, was talking betting in the debate on the Gaming Bill, on Tuesday evening. “I needn’t go into details,” he said, “for most of you hon. gentlemen, even if you pretend to know little about it, have your quiet bet. lam even going to give the Prime Minister away —(laughter) —and say that he had half-a-sovereign on with me the other day.” '(Laughter). “Was that on Bill?” asked an hon. member. “Yes,” replied Mr. Glenn, “it was on BilL and we won?’ “Wfiat did you say was the name of the horse?” asked Mr. T. M, Wilford (Hutt), with a knowing smile. “Bill,” said Mr'. Glenn. “Bill?” queried the hon. member for Hutt. “Yes, Bill," said Air. Massey. “Bill —he’s a sure winner every time.’i (Laughter). .
