Messrs Townsend and Paul Ltd., report that during the past fortnight Wellington haa been over supplied with large quantities of apples which have had the effect of lowering prie.es for the better grades of fruit. They would recommend only consignments of "A” grade apples, as apples of inferior quantity are unsaleable on the Wellington market at the present time.
