PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN.

[TO THE EDITOR-! . Sir —What is the use or talking ot lised bv the presentation or Me '■fenerailv) in a debased form, v, liiqJi can only suggest evil thoughts-“for as he thinketh in his heart so is he (Prov. 23) —and excite sordid sensual passions, the worst for any individual community or nation to encounter. The demoralisation ot a great percentage of those in asylums and prisons, many that arv good for nothing, and many that die ere thev reach tae prime of life can be traced to wrong thoughts suggested through a person, book or picture. If the development of this evil is possible to such magnitude, why cannot something be done to protect our young in their tendei years'! Dangerous rocks are pointed out for the mariner to avoid shipwreck. If in their tender years we deny our children our protection and'a healthy training, what chances are we going to give them to enable them to avoid shipwreck ? I would appeal to every right thinking person, especially to ministers and S.S. teachers, to do all in their power to protect the children from so subtle and demoralising an influence. There should not be a moment’s hesitation on the part of any right thinking man or woman. I would here warn many professing Christian parents of 'what they incur in allowing their children to frequent these palaces of Satan apparently’ quite ignorant or indifferent of the demoralising influence of the pictures, which cannot be readily

erased from the young termer mind ■ for tile impressions are deep t<i such particularly, yes and to man and woman, 1 would recall inc words of one who “spake as ncvei man spake” —‘ It were better tm him that a millstone were, hanged about his neck, and he he e ; lßt ’ n ? the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. ’ (Luke 1 <)■ Let. us therefore e'ose the doots o .he children mid so prevent them falling into the pit of evil imagination. Apologising for asking for so much space, and thanking vou m iniicipatiou.- 1 am. etc.,
