REPUBLICAN’S BELIEF THAT BRITAIN SATISFIED. New York, Feb. 3 The New York Times’ correspondent states that the Republican Senator Borah asserted that Mr. LloVd George had tried to reach President Wilson through Viscoiint Grey with a statement that Senator Lodge’s reservation would be satisfactory to Britain, but failed; there fore he had decided to appeal directly to the Senate through Viscount Grey's letter.
