ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Wellington, Jan. 6. The Educational Institute adopted a remit that in view of the value of the moving picture as an educative factor, the Government be urged to establish a Film Bureau for supplying suitable material for use in schools. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. W. Phillips; vice-president, Mr. J. E. Purchase; treasurer, Mr. A. Erskine; nonofficial members of executive, Messrs W. H. Newton, W. Endey, B. N. T. Blake, J. C. Webb, H. F. Pennington and F. A. Garry.
