H.B. CLUB’S TOURNAMENT The uncompleted events in connection with the Hawke’s Bay Tennis Club’s tournament were played off yesterday afternoon and resulted as follows: — COMBINED CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLES. Final. —Miss D. Wellwood and Maddison beat Mrs. Hetley and Webber. 2—6, 6—l, 6 —3. LADIES’ HANDICAP DOUBLES. Final.—Mrs. Cato and Mrs. Hetley <scr.) beat Miss Craig and Miss Fenwick (rec. 5) 56—41. MEN’S HANDICAP DOUBLES. Semi Finala— Oakley and Dunwiddie (scr.) beat Cowan and Maddison (owe 10) 70—62. Final.—Oakley and Dinwiddie (scr-) beat Sturm and Webber (owe 15) 75—69. COMBINED HANDICAP DOUBLES. Miss Davis and Wearne (rec. 3OY beat Mrs. Hetley and Lang Guthrie (scr.) 60—48. Final. —Miss Davis and Wearne (rec. 30) beat Miss Leithead and Pidduck (rec. 10) 60—43. ROTORUA~fbuRNEY. Rotorua, Jan. 6. The Rotorua Tennis Tourney was resumed to-day. The weather was fine. The champion singles was won by Robson (Remuera) who beat Griffiths (Remuera) in the final 6—o, 6—l, o—6, 6—l. Robson beat Wilding in the third round, 5 —6. 6 —5, B—6.8 —6. Men’s Handicap Singles.— A Grade: Mitchell and N. Smith (both Rotorua) won the semi finals. In the B. Grade semi-finals Wytoo (Papatoetoe) beat Elliott (Auckland), Hill (Rotorua) beat Biernacki (Auckland). Men's Champion Doubles. —Griffiths and E. Ohlson (Auckland) and Bartlett and Webster (Auckland) won the semi-finals, the final to be played in Auckland. Ladies’ Champion Singles.— Miss Payton beat* Miss Weston in - semi-final. The Ladies’ Champion Doubles was won by Mrs. Marshall (Paeroa) and Miss Margory Macfarlane (Auckland), beating Mrs. Gordon (Masterton) and Miss Payton (Remuera) 3—6, 6—l, 6 — i. Play will be resumed to-morrow.
