ACCIDENT TO CHILD.
On New Year’s morning, the little eighteen-months’old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Gallagher, Hastings, was discovered lying, crying, on the ground at the rear of the residence, very much bruised, with his clothes ripped up the back and with his right thigh broken. No one witnessed the accident but, as Mr. Gallagher’s cow was in the garden with the child, it is presumed that the animal horned the infant and probably either kicked or stood on him.
