ENTERTAINMENTS?

WILLIAMSON’S MUSICAL COMEDY, “GOING VP.”

The return of the J. C. Williamson Musical Comedy Company, numbering over 100 members, will doubtless be warmly welcomed. This highly popular organization will appear at the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, on Friday, January 16th. The famous aviation play ‘‘Going Up.” is announced as the attraction. This delightful musical comedy has recently broken all theatrical attractions in Australia, having recently had continuous runs of 21 weeks tn Sydney, and 19 weeks in Melbourne. In addition to several new artists the company still holds most of the old favourites. Such names as Messrs Alfred Frith. William Greene. Field Fieher, George Willoughby, Cyril Itiehards, Jack Hooker, Pine Bush, Harry Morton and Misses Cecil Bradley, Gracie Lavers. Marie Eaton, Madge, Elliott. Florric Allen, Millie Bugler should easily ensure the success of any musical enterprise. As to the play, it has proved everywhere the most successful of any musical comedy of two decades. It possesses, besides an unusually interesting story a deal of bright and elegant music. Th-re are also several thrills, not the least of which is the flight of a real aeroplane which ascends from the stage in full view of the audience. The bos plan will be opened at Hall and Sons, Monday, January 14th.
