BRITISH SHIPPING. SUPREMACY RE-ESTABLISHED (Received 3, 2.40 p.tn.) London, Dec. 31. A hundred German ships, mostly interned in South America, many exceeding 10,000 tons, remain to be handed over to the Allies, beyond the 2.50 already surrendered and provisionally distributed among the shipping companies. The distribution, and British shipbuilding activity has reestablished British shipping supremacy, which at the present time is five per cent, more tonnage' than pre-war, although still short of requirements. The operations allocated to the Bri-
tish for the clearance of all moored mines in Home waters, Mediterranean and Aegean Seas have been completed. Certain Black Sea ports have also been clea red. —Reuter.
