GOVERNMENT’a> REPLY TO
LORD ROTHERMERE’S SUGGESTION.
Lord Rothermere’s proposal that Jamaica and British Guiana should be ceded to the United States in liquidation of . the British war debt, has drawn vigorous protests from the Legislatures of those colonies. The Colonial Secretary has sent replies declaring emphatically that the British Government have,no intention of ceding Jamaica, British Guiana, or any West Indian colony to any foreign power.
