OVER ZEALOUS U.S. ADMIRAL. Washington, Dec. 31. Mr. J. Daniels (Secretary to Navy) disclosed that Admiral Decker, who refused a Naval Gross on the ground that he was inadequately rewarded for his services in keeping Spain out of the -war, was dismissed from bis Madrid post in consequence of the American Ambassadors representations. Mr. Daniels alleged that Admiral Decker thought himself the real Ambassador and acted accordingly.—(A. and N.Z.)
