INMATES NARROWLY ESCAPE. Taumarunui. July 7. Beaumont's two-storey boardinghouse at Owhango was destroyed bv fire at three on Sunday morning. The inmates had a narrow escape iu their nightclothes. Some jumped from the balcony. A woman and two children just escaped with their lives. The building was insured for £lOOO. the furniture was not insured. Nothing was se.ved. The fire started in the kitchen.
