HOSPITAL SATURDAY.

On Saturday next iho citizens of Hawke's Bay Hospital District will be appealed to lor theii siippoit towards the local hospitals in the great, woik carried out by these institutions. Since the last appeal vv<i.s made to the public the splendid Infectious Diseases Hospital and the new Soldiers Wards have been opened ;is additions to the main institution, and with these net blocks the authorities are enabled better to carry out the work of dealing with infectious diseases and the treatment of our grand returned sick and wounded soldiers than was hitherto the case. But to do this greater funds are reqniied and the public will be given an opportunity of showing their appreciation by liberally contributing to the appeal, being made by the hospital Saturday Committee. Further, in no year since its establishment have the controlling authorities of the hospitals been faced with such an expenditure ot time, energy, and money to meet the extraordinary demands of the last twelve mouths.
