LATE SPORTING.

RICCARTON TRACK NOTES.

Christchurch, Aug. 14. The weather was fine for training at Ricearton. The work was not interesting. A few horses did short sprints. Most of them did only useful tasks. Ardmore beat Leaping Burn over six furlongs. Gang ’Awa beat Master Strowan, going strong over a mile and a quarter. Bluff ana Rose Blush, separately, jumped two hurdles. Crib and Master Hamilton together went well over three fences.
